In this Project, I was trying to play around Maya nCloth and how to create natural deformation between piece of cloth and sand particles, then I devolop the final look to be more elegant, so I convert it to be golden sand particles, the emitter to nParticle sand was driven by animated mask after cloth simulation been cached to create this soft and smooth transformation.

KRAKATOA Plugin has been used to duplicate the particles amount to give more rich look.

Simulation in Maya, cached and built volume in Houdini and rendered in Krakatoa
Final Particles 40Million
