The Egyptian history has been distorted for long with the stereotype commercials movies that only features mummies and tombs, too much snakes and mystification.
This all detracts us from seeing them as humans anymore, but the truth is once upon a time they existed and they was civilized, educated, workers and managers, like any other developed culture, they were full of humanity, happiness, arts, pain and drama. The system was strong and accurate, sciences, medicine and technology were all a great part of it.
They may have been much more developed than our present but as humans they all had problems, revenge, anger, unfaithfulness, needs and desires.

many kings in the old civilization were thinking of power and control of the people through religions and money. that's how they survive. yes it's an old behaviour for any dictator.
Priests of Thebes was always in control of the country through Gods and good relation with Egypt royal family. any try from public to think of independence, freedom of speech, freedom of beliefs or religion must be punished, so they can rule.
